Hair that keeps coming back

PCOS, menopause and other hormone changes can bring coarse hair that returns fast. We treat each follicle for good and plan for new growth as it appears.

Smiling woman with silver hair and smooth skin

Hair laser couldn't touch

Blonde, grey, red and fine hair, or hair on darker skin. Electrolysis doesn't rely on pigment, so it works where laser stops.

Know your area

What to know about the area you're treating.

Every area is a little different: how the hair grows, how the skin responds and how long a visit takes. Clearing visit times are typical for an area with some hair, and your plan is set at your first visit.

Face

5 areas

Upper lip

Clearing visit ~1 hr
  • Often a mix of fine and coarse hairs.
  • One of the more sensitive areas, so numbing cream helps.

Chin & jawline

Clearing visit ~1 hr 15 min
  • Hair here is often hormonal, coarse and quick to return.
  • Tweezing distorts follicles, so switch to shaving between visits.

Neck

Clearing visit ~1 hr 15 min
  • Coarse hairs here are prone to ingrowns and bumps.
  • Clearing them often calms the skin, too.

Brows

Clearing visit ~1 hr
  • We map your shape together before removing anything.
  • Removal is permanent, so we start conservatively and refine over visits.

Cheeks & sideburns

Clearing visit ~1 hr
  • Usually fine, light hairs that laser can't treat.
  • Often treated alongside the upper lip.

Body & intimate

5 areas

Bikini line

Clearing visit ~1 hr 30 min
  • Hair here is coarse, curly and prone to ingrowns.
  • Completely private, with draping. One of the more sensitive areas, so numbing cream helps.

Underarms

Clearing visit ~1 hr 15 min
  • Deep, coarse follicles, often treated with Blend.
  • Shave 3 to 5 days before so we can see every hair.

Chest & stomach

Clearing visit ~1 hr 30 min
  • Includes around the nipples and the line below the belly button.
  • The skin around the nipples is delicate, so we work gently.

Fingers & toes

Clearing visit ~30 min
  • Usually just a few hairs, so visits are short.
  • An easy add-on to another area.

Lower legs & back

Clearing visit ~2 hr 30 min
  • Large areas are a bigger commitment of time and budget.
  • Many clients start with the area that bothers them most.

Our techniques

Three techniques. You don't need to choose.

We pick the right one for your hair and skin at your first visit, and a plan may use more than one.

Thermolysis

A very quick flash of heat at each follicle. The fastest technique.

Best for fine to medium hair and larger areas.

Blend

A longer, gentle current followed by a small flash. Combines heat with a chemical reaction in the follicle.

Best for coarse or hormonal hair, the chin and jawline, and sensitive areas.

Galvanic

A chemical reaction in the follicle, with no heat. The slowest technique, and very thorough.

Best for coarse, stubborn or distorted hairs.
